Northwest.com Travel Writer (Contributor)

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Northwest.com Travel Writer (contributor).  We are looking for writers that have a passion for the Pacific Northwest and the urge to write about it!  To become a NORTHWEST.COM Travel Writer, you must read, and agree to, the following guidelines and conditions.

Subject Matter Guidelines

NORTHWEST.COM focuses on travel and recreation in the Pacific Northwest.  All stories, articles, and photos must be Pacific Northwest-travel related.  We define the Pacific Northwest as including Alaska, British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.  Subject matter of interest to our visitors includes cities & towns, attractions, culture & heritage, recreation & outdoor pursuits, parks & nature, events, lodging, dining, shopping, plus unique, unknown places anddestinations.

Writer / Contributor Conditions

  1. NORTHWEST.COM, INC., reserves the right to accept, reject, edit and revise any articles / stories (content) submitted.
  2. The Writer / Contributor represents and warrants that all content is original work and does not impinge or violate the copyright, right of privacy, proprietary right, right of publicity, or any other right of a third party.
  3. If an article is published, the parties acknowledge and agree that NORTHWEST.COM, INC., shall own all rights, title, and interest, throughout the Universe, to the work submitted by the writer.
  4. Writer / Contributor grants NORTHWEST.COM, INC. an irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, non-exclusive license to publish / distribute, modify / revise, or reproduce / transmit / sub-license to another entity, for Writer / Contributor’s approved and published articles.
  5. All materials / photos must pertain to Pacific Northwest Travel, Tourism, and Recreation.
  6. Articles / stories submitted will be 250 – 1,000 words in length.  Limit of 4 photos (jpeg format) per story submitted.
  7. Prospective writers that fill out the Contributor (writer) Form acknowledge that NORTHWEST.COM will not pay them for any articles, stories, materials, or photos submitted.  Writers / Contributors are paid up to $25.00 for articles that are approved and published.
  8. By submitting stories, articles, materials, or photos to NORTHWEST.COM, INC., the Writer / Contributor has agreed to comply with, and adhere to, NORTHWEST.COM, INC.’s  Subject Matter Guidelines and Writer / Contributor Conditions.
