Northwest.com is located outside of Portland, Oregon. The company began providing Internet service to the local metro area in 1994 when we were known as “Autobahn Internet Services”.

Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana are collectively referred to as “The Northwest”. Hardly a day goes by when this beautiful and dynamic region is not seen on TV, mentioned on the radio, or written about in newspapers and magazines. There are thousands of businesses that have “Northwest” as part of their names. In 1995, we searched for a domain name that would represent where we live, work, and play. Imagine our amazement and excitement when we discovered that “Northwest.com” was available. 

In March 2000, we formed a new corporation and Northwest.com, Inc. was born. We envisioned our website as a place where ardent travelers could come and “Discover the Northwest at its Best”.

Our mission is to make Northwest.com the most comprehensive web portal for Pacific Northwest tourism and recreation, presenting the region as one of the world’s premier travel destinations.
